Squillace, Italy

At the end of the last two workshops, public workshop performances of the results will take place, basically for colleagues and friends of the participants.

Other public formats such as discussions, lectures and performances by the participating artists also serve this purpose.

The workshops build on each other, but are set up in a way that it’s also possible to attend part of them.

For workshops we will meet two times a day for 3-4 hours, in addition to supplementary activities such as discussion rounds, lectures, performances etc.

The workshops are led by internationally experienced theatre and performance artists, cultural mediators and cultural managers. They teach creative techniques and research tools with a clear practical orientation: Scenes, monologues, songs and choreographies are developed and presented to each other with professional help.

Together we explore ways to implement this practice in neighbourhood projects, schools, universities and other institutions.

Most workshop inputs come from the team of theater: playstation and David Chotjewitz. They have implemented artistical acclaimed theater and performance projects and, in recent years, a series of transnational cultural projects.

In addition, there are artists from the inviting countries like Ita Aagaard from Valencia and Lana Bitenc, founder of theater Don Hihot in Zagreb and Pawel Passini from Poland.

Experienced project managers the cultural field will also pass on their experience to the participants.

Project coordinator is theater: playstation, Hamburg, cooperation partners are Fabrika12, Valencia, Near East, Lublin, Tools for Culture, Rome, Teatar Don Hihot, Zagreb.
